Required Class Attire

Be sure to label all your dance clothes, shoes and bags.

Dress codes are in place to maintain dance traditions, to promote unity and as a commitment to high personal and professional standards in the studio.  All students are given the same choices,  therefore, allowing minimal competition in the classroom.  Click here for required class attire.

To assist with your dancewear needs, Ace Dance Academy carries required attire and shoes at the studio store.  We also carry items with the Ace Dance Academy logo.

   Hair

Hair must be securely pulled back, away from the face and off the neck.  Ponytails and buns are highly recommended.  If a male student has long hair, please secure it away from the face.  For female ballet students in the secondary division, hair must be styled into a bun without stray hairs or bangs.

 How to Do a Bun

Pull hair back into a high ponytail and fasten with a ponytail holder. Twist the tail into a spiral and wind it around the holder in a circular path, securing it with bobby pins and hair pins as you go: cover the bun with a hair net and anchor the net with pins.  Hair spray any stray hair strands.

Eyeglasses

It is always preferable to take class without wearing eyeglasses for safety reasons.  If your child needs to wear glasses in class, they must be adequately secured.
